How to update a Mac

Open System Preferences from Apple menu or the Gear icon on the dock.
Click Software Update
Click Upgrade Now
Click Agree
Verify your name appears and enter your AD Password. Then Click OK.
(If your password won't work or name doesn't appear try opening Self Service and running "Upgrade to MacOS Ventura". If that doesn't work, contact a Field Tech to update)
It will take approximately a half hour to install, restart and be ready to use again.
For Macs on Ventura
Open System Settings from the Apple Menu or the Gear icon on the dock.
Click General and then Software Update
Wait for the Mac to stop checking for updates.
When it’s done click Update Now.
Click Agree
Verify your name appears and enter AD Password and then click OK.
It will take approximately a half hour to install, restart and be ready to use again.
